No Water For Outdoor Rinks

It was announced yesterday by the Playground Conunisslon that due to the continued water short- age the Commissioners o! Sewers and Water Supply had advised that for the present, at least, 1t would be impossible to provide water for flooding outdoor rinks of any kind. This came as a bitter disappointment both to the Play- ground offlclals and to the kid- dies.

However. it is hoped that the program presently being run by the Commission at the Forum will at least partially offset the disappointment to all concerned. For the information of interested citizens and kiddies the Play- ground Commission has reserved considerable time at the Forum this year and these hours are being made available to the var- ious groups of boys and girls of the City schools. A few spare hours have been set. usitlc for special groups desiring a bit n1 competition and those hours arc being ailotcd by the Director of Physical Fitness. Lt. Col. W. W. Reid when application is received from u group or groups.

At pfesent a competent. coach or supervisor is on hand to over- see the various hours of practice and skating at the Forum.
