The Liguorian Youth Club won their way to the City softball Lea- gue finals on Sunday afternoon by defeating the Guardian.Angels 8-5 and winning their best of five series three games to one.

Wilf Shepherd pitched a bril- liant five-hitter as he hurled the Youth Clubbers to their victory. Henry Hartinger pitched for the Angels and gave up 16 hits.

The L. Y. C. will now meet the Bummerslde Air Force in the finals.

The L. Y c. scored four mm in the first inning and added single runs in the second, fifth, seventh and eighth frames. The Angels picked up four runs in the first inning but failed to score again until the eighth.

Bhephardwas given gilt-edged support by his team-mates. Henry Murnaghan turned in a strong game at second base and made a spectacular catch off Billy Acorn in the seventh inning for the fielding play of the game.

Billy Wright came up with a smart catch off Murnaghan in the
