A treat— areal treat—in theway ofa lecture was greatly enjoyed bv the large audience which filled Grace Church last evening. Rev. Wiliiam Dobson, of Halifax, a nativeof P. E. Island—was the lecturer, and those who bad heard hm preach on Sunday probably knew what to exneet. The subject was ‘“Englanda n Englishmen”—a capital subject hendled in asplendid manner. The lecturer with bis fine, clesr muzical voice—jast like a bel'—described the Englishman;—a man different from al! other mes, and said th-re is only one place where Engliah- men can be reared and that ia Eoyland. Londoa was also tonched upon, and he told some very an.using anecdotes connect- with his visit to § feotland. A hearty vote of thanks, unam‘ously tendered the lectur- er, though Mr. Kirby who occupied the chair, wae moved by Colonel Moore, D. O. C., and seconded by Mr. J. T. Meilish.
