Frosh Closh Elections Friday
The second Frosh class meeting was held Monday Oct. 25 in the Robertson Library Day 1 Student Lounge. There were about 20 Frosh in attendance and there were nominations from the floor for the pos- itions of President, Vice President, and Secretary—Treasurer. Chris Campaigne was acw claimed as President. Running for Vice—President are Nora MacAdam, Ellen Nearing and Debbie Will— oughby. David McEwen
and Peter Maloney are running for the Secretary- Treasurer position. Elections will be held Friday October 29 in the Robertson Library from

Currie discounted these efforts saying, "Discussions of this sort are just that— discussions. Very few concrete things come out of them".
National Student Day is November 9, and is being observed across the country.

Mary's, the host team, by 3—1 on a bright and sunny Sunday. It was only in the second half of the game when a strategic attack was launched on the weak defenses of the opposing team that 2 more goals were scored. Considering St.
Mary's has not sufferred a de— feat in our hands for the last
3 years — it was a great victory.
All in all, it was a great weekend and thanks to the Athletic Department for their kind support, especially from Vince Mulligan.

A general meeting which is supposed to be called

set for Sunday Nov.7 at 6p.m. in Duffy.
Mike McKenna reported on what sounded like a stimulating Senate Meeting. Derek Key's motion re the student handbook change was defeated at that meet- ing. Senate has finally agreed that they are in favour of a Vet School here at least in principle.
