Tue horses Honest Lincoln, owned by Mr, Geo. Tweedy, of this city, and Administrator, »wned by Mr. A. Honest Lincoln who was highly commended at the Jast shire horse show in London in a class of twenty-five, is a dappled bay, with very little white, stands 16 hands 14 inches high, and weighs nearly 2,000 ibs. Heis by Lin ola, 1.350, and out of Molly Vol IV., by Honest Tom, 1,105, half-brother to Chance, the champion mare in England. He was bred by T. H. Miller, Singleton Park, Lancashire.

Sixteen fishing vessels have already ar- rived here in distress as the result of the disastrous hurricane which swept. the fish- ing banks on Tuesday.

The weather has been unprecedentedly boisterous on the banks for the month of April, there having been three regular hurricanes. Another heavy south-east gale prevails to-day which will doubtless add to the list of disasters.

Six thousand immigrants landed at Hali- fax during the first three months of this year, or over five hundred more than land; ed at Halifax during the whole of last year. They were well sup- plied with money and the finest class of settlers ever landed at Halifax.
