He received his early edu cation here and attended St. Francis Xavier University at Antigonish, N. S. His career in public service began in 1914 when he was elected to the

Coal Run Ships Reduced To 3

SYDNEY — (CP) — The Syd- ney — St. Lawrence coal run is scheduled to open late next month with a> sharply reduced collier fleet.

Only three ships have been signed to a Dominion Steel and Coal Corporation charter. The three vessels, all veterans of the coal ‘run, are the Cornwood, Rookwood and Cydonia.

Along with the three chartered vessels, the Disco-owned ships
