Despite the stormy weather and only two trips to the fishing grounds in a week, fishermen report the season very good so far.

Mr. Fred sinnott has moved to the village to reside. His nice home on the Morell road is closed up.

Despite the fact one horse has been killed on the highway here and one cow suffered a broken leg. cattle are still allowed to roam the roads at all hours of the day and night.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mchellan and two children, Kensington. were recent visitors here at the home of Mrs. MacLellan's parents. Mr. and Mrs. P. R. sinnott.

Mr and Mrs. James Kennefick and family moved to their new home on the Morell road this week. Despite the fact they are only go- ing a few miles away we will miss them from the district and the school.

Mr. George MacDonald is get- ting around again after being con- fined to his bed with an attack of pneumonia.

Ball practice is being held on the school grounds here this season, and quite a crowd gathered on Sunday afternoon to see the game.

Mrs. Vincent McGrath. Mrs. A. B. McAdam. Mrs. Arthur max- land and Mrs. James Blaxland were recent visitors to the City.

Miss Hilda Decorsey has-arrived from Boston on a vacation visit to her mother. Miss Dccorsey left here to reside in the U. S. A. hack in 1925 and has made very few trips back home. Old friends are very glad to see her again.

Mr. Wilfred Dunphy is at pres- ent building I. new house on the site where his old home was de- stroyed by fire two years ago.-At present he has the body frame up and boarded in.

We learn from the Morrell club of Boston that at their annual meet- tlng recenly it was shown that they had a very successful year. The funds taken in amounted to fifteen hundred dollars and same five hun- drcd was given to charity. with all other expenses paid. quite a tidy sum remains. in the treasury. It has been decided to have an out- ing for members and their friends on June nth. This will be held at Bear Brook Reservation. New Hampshire. The party will travel in charter buses under the direc- tion of Mr. Luke Dunn. This will bring the club to a close until September when their meetings will resume. Looking over the rules and regulations of this club we noticed one of its aims is for the improvement of the two Morcll cemeteries.

Dominion Government Depart- ment of Public Works dredge No. 115, which has been engaged in dredging in the Montague River for the past two seasons. is at present digging on the east side of the Railway Wharf. The dredge is not expected to be engaged for any great length of time on the job in Georgetown and it is re- ported that she will return to Montague to resume digging. on the completion of the work here.
