games. fis first crazy vagary was to fancy that he was engaged in the},

Chicago tournament. He went through the games in his billiard rooms, believ- ing that he was in the Chicago hall, and that a big assemblage was watch- img his contest with the players there. He insisted on bulletining his mythical victories in front of the premises, and gave considerable money to friends to bet with on his winning the champion- ship. On being taken to the Bloom- ingdale asylum the lack ofa billiard table did not disabuse hin of his de lusion, and he is coustanily going through the motions of play without cue or balls. The pantemime is a ecrrious study of demeatia, and the physicians

say that the case is a rare one in the perfection and persis tency of the hallucination. It ie probable that he
