Ottawa (CUP) - The federal government should ° stop discriminating against research in the social: sci- ences and humanities, rec- ommends an all-party Par- liamentary committee.

In a concise report re- leased March 12, the Stand- ing Committee on Finance > and Economic Affairs rec- ommends that the Mul- roney government amend the Income Tax Act so that the social sciences and hu- manities are no longer ex- cluded in the Act's defi- nition of scientific research and experimental develop- ment.
