One of the Paris papers gives the fol- lowing catalogue of attempts on the lives of royal personages and rulers during the last 50 years.

The Duke of Modena attacked in 1848.

The Prince of Prussia (now the Em- peror William) at Minden, in 1848.

An infernal machine discovered at Marsaills on Napoleon IT's visit in 1852.
