Dear Student,

A parent was overheard telling a neighbour, "...I have three children: two are living and one is at University!" Well, for some people, university appears to be just a place to pass

the time without too much effort or too much involvement. However,

somewhere between Freshmen Orientation in that first year and Spring Convocation

in the fourth year a great many changes have taken place in the whole personality.

A university education is more that the

accumulation of 120 credits ‘for a degree. -Part of your education may come from your participation in thr drama 'society, the Student Council, or the basketball team; part may come from your communications with others at a house party; part of it may come from your quiet enyoyment of "non—required reading" in the corner of the university library. Your university education is what you twill donidg 1-n ma'lr’a “a, bu+ ,m'... will have to decide. It won’t just happen.
