WIPE CDT (Winter Carnival '82) is just around the corner. Winter Carnival is special ‘ fer many university students. It is a part of the school year crowded with parties and fun. It is open to all students. It is also

~ the time of year when professors lecture to empty classrooms, and shake their heads at

, red—eyed students who do attend classes. It is hard to picture UPEI without Winter Carnival. Winter

Carnival can also give a brighter outlook on all

the stormy cold weather

we've been having.

Winter Carnival is sane-r times- looked at as a week of over consumption of beer. Carnival is not held

for this reason.Alot of people have spent many hours planning a week

of events, and these events were planned for ‘ fun and to get the stud- ent body together, not for setting beer - drinking records.

Remember, classes should not ’be ignored but niether should Winter Carnival events. These events were planned with you, the students, in mind. A good turn out for all events will Show that good old UPEI can have a fun Winter Carnival.
