The professor, If he/she is to remain relevant-to the movement of society must constant- ly be reshaping their viehr points, curriculum, etc. And if the professor is not dynamic then there must be machinery for removing that professor. At present, more emphasis is placed on tenure and security than
on relevancy and dynamism.
It's very sadl~U.P.E.I. just awhile ago had a chance to break through the conservative "hang—upS' of other universities and become truely a place of higher learning, the first in the Maritimes perchance! The tenure system puts short work to that chance.
