1) Y .virtue and in pursuance of Her Majesty‘s Writ of Election, ) to me directed, tested the Snsoso day of Daemon”, now instant, and commanding me to cause to be made Public Notice and Proclamation in some ot'the most public places within the Polling Divisions for the First Electoral District of King’s County, for all persons duly qualified by Law to vote for Members to saw: in the General Assembly for the said First Electoral District of King’s County, to appear before me to nominate, elect and choose. one able and discreet man for business to represent the said First Electoral District of King‘s County, in the Lover House of Assem- lily, in the place and stead of the Honorable Donald lleaton.«lcccns- cd, -I do hereby give Public Notice that I will on WEDNESDA Y, the thh day of JANUARY next, at the C-ouxrv CoUii'r HoUSE, in GEORGETOWN, in King’s County, aforesaid, at the hour of eleven o'clock of the forenoon of the same day, open and hold a Coon'r for the nomination and election of one able and discreet man for busi- ness. to represent the said First Electoral District of King's County- And that in case a Poll shall on said day, at said Court. ~bc demanded for sald Election, I hereby give further notice that I will, on WEDNESDAY, the Zilst day of JANUARY, next ehsuing cause a Poll to be opened for the first Polling Division of the First Electoral District of Kings County, at the hour of half-past .nine o’clock, in the forcnoon ot the said last mentioned day, at or near WILLIAM COLLINSS,I’ortagc,oii Township No. Forty-seven; and for the Second Polling Division of the said First District of King's County , -I will. on the same day and hour as last aforesaid. cause a Poll to be opened at or near ANU U5 CAMPBELL‘S, Mill Road, Township No. Forty-live; and for the Third Polling Division of the said First Electoral District of King‘s County, I will on the same day and hour as last aforesaid, cause a. Poll to be opened at or near MICHAEL CHRISTIAN'S, Line Road, Township No. 43, in the said County of King's County,-——of which all persons duly qualified by Law to vote for one Member for the said first District of King’s County. in the General Assembly of this Island. and all other persons whom the aforesaid Writ of Election doth or may .conCcrn, are hereby required to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.

The First Polling Division shall comprise and include Township Number Forty-seven, and the l’oll shall be held ator near William Collius's, Portage, on the said Township; the Second Polling Division shall ooinprise and include Townships Numbers Forty-live .aud Forty-six, and the Poll shall be held at or near Angus Camp- .bell’s, Mill Road, on Township Number Forty-live; and the Third .l’olling Division shall comprise and include Townships Numbers Forty-three and Forty-four, and the Poll shall be held at or near Michael Christian’s, Line ltoad, on Township Number Forty-three.

HEREAS by a resolution of the House of Assembly, passed 1‘ on the 14th day of April, 1863, it was resolved that the initiation of all Money Votes should be with the Executive. Notice is hereby given that all applications for MONEY GRANTS for ltoads, Bridges, Wharfs,&c., and all Petitions for grants in aid of any object whatsoever, which parties may desire to submit to the l. ‘gislature at its next annual Session.are required to be sent into this ollice on or before the 1st day of March next. I have thought fit, by and with the advice of Her Majesty’s Executive Council, further to prorogue the said General Assembly, and the same is hereby prorogued until Thursday the TWenty-second «day of February next, of which all persons concerned are required to take notiCc and govern themselves accordingly.

Given under my hand and the Great Seal of this Island, at Charlottetown, in the said Island, this 15th day of January, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty- PIX, and in the Twenty-ninth year of Her Majesty’s reign.

TENDERS for LUNATIC ASYLUM.

IYIIE Trustees of the Lunatic Asylum are desirous of contracting for the supply of the Institution for six months, from the let of February, 1866, With the following articles, viz: FRESH BEEF, per pound. FLOUR, Island, per 100 pounds. do. Canada, per barrel. OA'I‘MEA L, per ltiO pounds. 30 Cords FIltEWOOD.

The Beef to consist of fore and hind quarters, which, with the other articles, are to be delivered at the Asylum to order when required.

The wood to be four feet long, piled 4 feet high in the yard,and to consist of Black .t Yellow Birch, Beech or Rock Maple, and no rotten or crooked weed will be received.

Tenders for each, separately or together, will be received at the Asylum, or at the office of Theophilns DesBrisay, Esq., until }VEDNESDAY, the 3lst day of JANUARY, inst, at 10 o’clock,
