UNDER MILK WOOD,"

Society's major production for the 1981-82 season is,
as you may have heard,
Dylan Thomas's Under Milk
Wood, and since—".it’hasu-ubeen '
in rehearsal for several weeks now, I've been
requested (as a member of the cast) to write a
synopsis of how the cast and crew are progressing. Being a part of the prod- uction, I will of course
have a biased opinion, but
I've a perfectly clear
conscience when I say that everyone involved in Under
Milk Wood is doing a terrific job in getting
W. :Wifilw .
the play ready for the mid March performances.
Under Milk Wood ‘is a different sort of play than what you're probably used to seeing. It was orginally a radio play, then made into a stage play; Richard Burton, ‘ Peter O'Toole and Elizabeth Taylor later starred in the film version. Because it was written for performance over radio, the play is meant for the ears than for the eyeslalthough visually is is also ' ‘ appealing ), hence the language of Under Milk Wood is quinessential, and,

Hi there kiddies. It's time for another fun column from "the boys" at Radio CIMN (No, they haven't sacked us yet.) .
The CIMN pub was, to be blunt, a dismal failure, although our entertainment, "Eclipse", did put on an exceptional show (as usual). A fan people (mostly radio personnel) did show up, to enjoy a thrilling evening of booze, video games,and music. Maybe next time.
On the lighter side of the radio business our own B*b St*nl*y has experienced varied success with his "Talk—Back" Show (Tuesdays and . Thursdays at #:00 in the afternoons, until B*b gets bored and lonely. Some days, nobody calls and sane days he gets 2 or 3 wrong numbers.) But seriously, folks, B*b does try, and his show is an opportunity

As this coluxm goes to print, the UPEI Engineers' hockey team has won the first‘two games of the Atlantic Engineering hockey Tournament, and is currently playing their . third game. Congrate— lations, and good luck. And even if you lose, you still make the best snow sculptures.-
As a fund raising activity, CIMN will soon be selling Bob Stanley Commemorative Dart Boards. Incidently,
Bob Stanley is not related to B*b St*nl*y. .. but he is related to the G**dy**r Bl*mp.
lately, we've been getting more than a few mmplaints about the music that CIMN plays. Spec- ifically, we"play the sane stuff all the time."

frankly, quite beautiful I would like to eXclude myself when I say that the very talented cast Cf ,7 Under Milk Wood, under the m. Terry Pratt, is very deft in bringing both the words and characters to life.
I don't want to go into the details of the

Steel Hall. All involved in the play have worked very hard, and I know I speak for everyone when I say that I hope you will cane and see Under Milk Wood, because if you don't, you'll be missing something quite special and unique.
