The following account of the recent Railway accident on the road between Shediac and Saint John, \vc copy from the Morning Telegraph :

The Engine rail about two hundred feet after lvavi or tile rails. tearing up the track as it went, . llll then rolled down the embankment live or six feet in height. turning completely over . Tlli.l three freight cars next the Engine were totally destroyed, and three others more or less damaged. l‘lle passenger cars were not thrown from the track or injured in any way. The driver, Mr. J. H. Moore. who remained at his post. lllid was thrown iilillortllc Engine, laid the small bone of his leg broken alld was badly scaldrd by steam. The Fireman was thrown through tile window of the cab but escaped ilnllilrt. No one else was injured. It is supposed that the accident was caused by some malicious per- son, as the bolt had been removed il‘nlil the switch and the switch rail shined, while the target remained as if the. switch was all right. so that the driver could not are it in time to save the train. The track has been re- paired. llllll the trains were running as usual. The Railway Commissioners offer a reward of $500 for tho apprehension of the party wllo so maliciously interfered with the switch. It is stated that, some time ago, a similar at- tclnpt was made at this switch to throw the train all‘ the track, but the displncculint of the bolt was observed by it young illan who restored it to its proper place. Moore, the driver, exhibited iri'cut coolness and plilck under the circumstances—his conduct is gen- erally commended.
