backward overhead heave & had the ball go through the hoop

just as the.game—ending buzzer 'sounded.Weuhad a one point win! Naturally, there was a big prot— est from U.N.B. with the claim that Bob had thrown the ball too late but to no avail. We recall

that the timekeeper said that,

in his opinion, the ball had been thrown in time. One of the U.N.B. players-asked "Were you watching the ball...or the clock?..that

was a good question. Somebody observed that the timekeeper >would have to be a damn fool

or a brave, brave man to have decided against the hometeam pin such a close call & then
