Tbcre passed away suddenly at Damariscotto. Maine on Aug. 11. loss. as the result of a hltllwly accident, Mrs. Rachel Wilbur of ltockbury. Mass.. in her out your. Born at Breadalbane. P.E.I.. she was the dllldlltor of the late Mr. and Mrs. James F. Maelreod. Her tragic death came as a great shock to her family and kianda. Of a quiet and unsuuming nature. her modesty and simplicity. and above all her ready kindness will be rcatly missed by all who had the pleasure of bar acquaintance.
she leaves to cherish the mem- ory of a loving and devoted mothar. one son, Sgt. John Wilbur of the us. Marine Corps. and three daughters. (Phyllis) Mrs. David Both of Houston Texas; (Beverly) Mrs. Warren Taylor of Saugu, Msss., and Audrey of Boston; also three sisters. Mrs. Belle Mact Gregor of Bolton. Mass.; Mrs. James Dixon. of Stanchel; Mrs. Sterling Macbcan of Glen Valley. and one brother, John J. Maclreod of Breadslbane.
The funsral was held from the home of her brother, and was largely attended. The urvico Wll conducted by Rev. B. Rayner. assisted by Rev. W3. MacPhail of Wellington. Among the hymns sung was a favourite of the da- ceased "Where the Gates swing outward Never." Mr. Stephen Mac- Leod rendered a solo "Will the Circle be Unbroken."
Many floral tokens were beautif ' reminders of love and affection. The pallbearers were six nephews; George MacLsod. Arthur Mac- Lean. Everett Dixon. Raymond Dixon. Milford Buchanan. and Gor- don Macbure. She was tenderly laid to rest in Brcadalbsne cemet- cry.
