The Queen on the prosecution of Connick v. Henry Monaghan. This was a prosecu tion fur stabbing. The evidence wa- that the prisoner had met Connick at Kensing- ton, and, without any provocation, had stabbed him in the arm. The knife was produced, a butcher's knife of enormous dimensions, and on seeing it one could bet- ter understand how dreadful the wound aust have been which was inflicted upon Connick.
