DW reported a giant waterbug flying in yard in Sherwood on Aug. 17.' Forty

squid about 30 cm (12") long were on the shore near Red Point on Hillsborough River on Jul. 22 (B&DB).

AHPHIBIANS:

Northern Leopard Frogs crossing the Donagh road in large numbers on August 12 during the first good rain in weeks. These frogs were all relatively small, heading away from the marsh, and found only in areas where there were no woods between the marsh and the road.

PLANTS:

Large numbers of turtle head along the Harper to O'Leary section of the Confederation Trail.
