The Caravan travels to Univer- sities and Colleges across Canada each fall and UPEI will be graced by a visit this week. On Thursday, Oct. 8th the Caravan will be in the Robertson Library Lounge (Fishbowl/Pit) un- til 8:30pm. Then on Fri- day and Saturday it is off to Towers Mall for the re- mainder of the PEI tour.

The WUSC Caravan provides a sales outlet to artisans in the developing areas of the world and channels all revenues from sales into programs to ben- efit these countries.

A tremendous variety of handmae crafts will be on display while the Car- avan is here. Crafts rep- resenting countries such as India, China, Bangledesh, Sri Lanka, Afganistan and the Phillipines will be on display. new Chairman

The new chairman of the Board of Governors has been announced. Jus- tice Kenneth Me-Donald, Chief Justice of the Tri- als division of the provincial Supreme Court has won the position. _

He succeeds William Wedlock, who was chair- man for the past three one- year terms. University reg- ulations permit an individ- ual to hold the chairman’s position for no more than three terms.
