But man is only human, after all and Percy was very much fatigued by his long walk, to say nothing of the fervid heat of the August day, and by degrees he felt himself growing drowsy, his eyelids drooping lower and lower, and 2 delicious sense of torpor gradu- ally insinuating itself mto every crevice of his being.

And. he straigtened himself up, and he stared very fixedly at the two fichres on a ledge of cliff below,
