Mar. 25 - Birds in Your Back Yard, planting trees and shrubs to attract wildlife. A presentation at the Southern Kings and Queens Regional Services Centre starting at 7:00 pm. Presentation by the Macphail Woods Ecological Forestry Project of ECOPEI with support from Environment Canada's Action 21 program . All participants in this series of free workshops will receive a 10% discount on purchases of trees and shrubs from Macphail nursery.

Apr. 2 - Chris Lecroix will be the Natural History Society’s guest speaker on the Baltic Bog and Its Plants. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm at the Farm Centre on University Avenue.

Apr. 7 to 13 - National Wildlife Week on the theme "Take Action for Ecosystems".

Apr. 12 — Island Nature Trust Fund Raising Dinner at the CP Prince Edward. No host cocktails start at 6:00 pm and Dinner starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets $30. Auction and prizes galore. Contact Trust at 566-9150

Apr. 12, 17 & 20 - Macphail Woods Ecological Forestry Project will host one day workshops on Basket Making with Twigs. There is a $30 fee which covers instruction and materials but participants will be required to bring some tools and their lunch. Contact Ruth Richman at 902-583-2674 to register.

Apr. 27 - Second Annual Earth Day concert at Carrefour in Charlottetown. Cohosted by ECOPEI and C080. Great entertainment and door prises.

May 7 - The Natural History Society's Annual Slide Show. Please drop your slides off to Ray Cooke at 8 Shamrock Drive or to Meike Keunecke at the next meeting. The deadline for slides is April 20th. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm at the Farm Centre on University Avenue.

May 17 - Arbor Day - please plant a tree or shrub for wildlife.

May 25 - The Society will hold its annual Bain Bird Count. Please register your trip with Dan McAskill at 569-4351.

Jun. 1 to 9 - Second International Piping Plover Survey. Contact Jackie Waddell at 566—9150 if you are able to assist with the census.
