When in Committee on the Appropriation Bill. Mr Bracken alluded to the remarks made on a pre~ vious occasion when the grant of £20 to St. Ann's School was before the House. He had then stated

he felt it his duty to support that grant: but as he had been charged with melting use oi assertions without proof. relative to the sentiments taught irons books of a disloyal tendency to a cot-lain school in this city. he would now read extracts from a booht called Graces‘ Outlines of History. published at New York. and contended that the Moor. in question was ol {dielean and anti-British c araeter. and shenld‘not be tolerated in any British Colony. Hon Attorney General said that the history in ques- tion should have been reported to the proper authorities.
