'Mrs. James Greene has arriv- ed here from Bale Comeau, Que. bec, to visit her mother. Mrs. John Lapierre, also her brother Anslem, and two sisters. Mos. Greene never resided here as she was married before her parents moved back to the old estate here, where Mr. La- pierre spent his early years, but like so many others Mrs. Greene thinks the Island a lovely place and would like to stay here. She will go from here to the Magdalen Islands to visit her three broth- ers and many other old friends be- fore returnlng to her home in the north.

Service was held in Marie United Church on Sunday. August 31st when the pastor, Rev. E. A. Mac- leod, who has been on vacation for the past several weeks, con- ducted the service.

A special dance in aid or the Morell street lights was held in Morcll Hall on Monday night. September lst. with an unusually large crowd in attendance. Music was supplied by the Chariotteton- ians Orchestra.
