The New York World's London cable, dated 10 p. m., 3rd, says: All was quiet to-day on the Liverpool Cotton Exchange, and speculation is absolutely ata stand-still. A survey of the wreck caused by the downfall of Morris Ranger, on Wednesday, now shows that 15 firms are bankrupt, and several more so seriously crippled as to be toppling. Itis not believed how- ever, that the liat is yet eompleted, and the next settling day, 10th inst., is awaited with anxious forebodings, and conviction that it will bring the an- nouncement of several more failures. The meeting of Ranger's creditors is announced to take place onthe 22ad inst. Itis probable that it will be a stormy one, as the feeling against Ran- ger is bitter on the part of many of his creditors.
