Dalhousies’ annual Lobster pot Tournament held Friday,

Saturday, and Sunday. The teams involved' in the tourney included the Panthers, host Dalhousie Tigers, defending A.U.A.A. champions Monoton Blue Eagles and the St. F.X.

X-Men. ’

On Friday at 7:30 p.m. the X-Men took on the Tigers then on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. the ‘Panthers battled the Blue Eagles. Due to the lose they played in the ,onsolation on Sunday‘ at 11:00 a.m.

Coach Mulligan looked for a strong attack from the -ven mixture of veterans and

who, even though have lost a few have recruited heavily and'will again ice a strong team. Players ot look for on the Panthers will be veterans ‘Darwin McCutcheon, Norman Beck, and Ron Carragher and newcomers Greg Gravel, Gordie and John ~vPocock. The Panthers will have one of the biggest teams in recent ears and will be playing a tough, physical game.

33 of the 34 St. F.X. shots directed at ‘ the U.P.E.I. goal in an almost flawless performance. The

only goal came on a bad pass by a U.P.E.I. forward which sent the St. F.X. player Con Kelly in all alone.

The game was a very physical contest as U.P.E.I. were handed out 19 minor penalties and one major to St. F.X.'s 15 minors.

On Saturday Panthers had the very tough U. de M. Blue Eagles in their first test of the season. The final score put U. de M. on top 5-3.

Scoring for the Panthers were Greg Gravelle, Jeff Lantz, and Steve Fritton.

One of the bright spots of the game was the stellar performance of goaltender Avelino Gomez 3 he stopped #2 of the U7 shots sent his way. For his efforts he was named' second star of the game.

The Panthers directed #2' shots at Moncton goaltender Jean Claude Chanest who was named third star. First Star was the fast skating Alsir Grenier of U. de M. who wcored two goals catalyst for the Blue Eagles
