TREE TIPS.

Setting a good, stout stake by the side of a crooked growing tree and tying it will often help in straightening it.

Tle Parishioners of Vernon River, Roman Catholic Church, purpose holding a Tea Party on the church grounds,

WEDNESDAY, {4th JULY NEXT,

in aid of the Church Funds.

Quite a number of well rurnished tea tab.es will be on the grounds, furnished with all the delicacies of the season.

In addition to the tea tables there will be a dinner table with hot and cold meats, salads, pies, etc, to satisfy the tastes of an epicurean.

All the games usual at snch entertain- ments will be provided by the committee, and music will be furnished by “ahundred pipers and a’.”

And last, but not least, a well stocked saloon will be on the grounds where temperance drinks and eatibles can be secured at reasonable rates.
