Island singles championship by defeating his opponent from Char- lottetown who had previously won the Island trophy for two years.
The presentation of the trophy to Sqdn. Ldr. Lacnmbe was made by FVS D E. Carson.
In soccer, the station team won the Maritime senior championship and the tri-service ohsrnpionship.
It is a record of interest that this team had difficulty in finding opposing teams worthy of contest and that in their wholr season they did not lose it game.
The soccer trophy was received by P0. R. Stewart and the pres- entation made by FVL Palmer.
In baseball. the. station team won the Maritime tri-Service Lea- gue championship. The R. C. A. F. was tunable, however, to locate this trophy which is believed to be somewhere in lialiinx and as a result no formal presentation was made.
In softball the station team won the Maritime Twl-Service League chnnipionsliip, while the cadet team won the Summcrside town honors and the station in- ter-Section League was won by the Tower Team.
The softball trophy was receiv- ed by Mr. Ross Armstrong of the Department of Transport. meter- ologicai section on the station. Mr. Armstrong is captaln of the Tow- er Team. Presentation of this tro- phy was made by Mr. W. Young.
In golf the station championship was won by Mr. Ross Armstrong and the presentation was made by S L K. C. R. Brown.
The indies softball team. com- posed of the wives of R. C. A. F. personnel, won the Suminerside League championship nnd the trophy was received by Mtss. Fin- nlgan, captain of the ladies team.
The presentation of this trophy was made by Mr. Boates.
