Throughout the Maritimes he was a, general favorite 1n racing circles and noted for his honourable deal- ings and was s familiar figure at horse trots generally in the capacity of an official. He was instrumental in bringing many good race horses to the Island racing tracks and gave a xood deal of his time to the interests of horse racing in this province. He was one of the judges at the county fairs in New Brunswick‘ this sum- rner.

In his home he was a kind and affectionate husband and father, spending his leisure hours with hi: family, who will miss him sorely. Besides his widow and two r-mnll children, Miss June Louise and Mas- ter Wilcy Grendel-son. there are loft to mourn ht parents and two broth- crs and sisters, namely: W. H. Church. Michigan; Harry Church, Waterford, Ont; Mrs. F. R. I-lennori, Los Angeles. and Mrs. D. G. idcKay, of Molrose. Mass... to ivliom the Guardian extends sincere sympathy.
