would like to call for applications from students

for Senate Researdu Grants for the academic year 1979—80. The deadline for applications is March 1st. Application forms are available in the Student Union Office; additional forms are available in my box in the Sociology-Anthropology lomge, 3rd floor of Dalton Hall.

Applications from students will be accepted on

the reconnendaticn of a faculty member who is

prepared to act as the student's research director. The official recipient of each grant for a student will be the chairman of the academic department involved. Interested students are therefore encouraged to approach potentially research-direct- ing professors in this regard. ~

The Yearbook wants your PORTRAIT, not BLACK TYPE. If you have not had your Grad Photo taken please contact Diane McQuiric (Editor NEXUS 79) or Lee Donnelly (Photog NEXUS 79) at 892 4121- ext 376 for an appointment. We will arrange for gown and

hood. These Portraits will be done in Black-and White only. For Yearbook purposes. Sorry no reprints.

SOC/ANTHRO CLUB

The Soc/Anthro Club is planning a full slate of activities this semester. We intend to have a

few parties in the Barn with live and recorded music.

These parties are open to all students so why not drop down? In conjunction with the Library we will run weekly films which will cover topics of value to all departments at UPEI, as well as the Soc/Anthro majors. Keep an eye out for the announcements. We will keep you posted on all activities within the club through the SUN. The next club meeting will be on Wednesday, February 7 at 2 p.m. at the 3rd Floor Dalton Hall Lounge.
