Professor Focus J. RONALD COLLINS, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, DEAN of the School of Business Administration.

Dean J. Ronald Collins was born in Bellows Falls, Vermont. However in third grade, his parents moved ‘0 Boston. When he was enrolled in the fourth grade inother family moved into Boston. The father of this amily became the coach of Dean Collins hockey eam, and his son became the goalie. Dean Collins yecame good friends of the son. In addition to their riendship, Dean Collins’ sister became best friends vith the sister of Dean Collins’ new friend. The nique thing about this was that in the future Dean ‘ollins would begin to date his sister’s best friend who was four years his younger). Another unique hing was that her parents were originally from P.E.I. rom 1963 to 1966, the two of them came to P.E.I. uring the summers to visit her extended family. uring the summer of 1966, Dean Collins proposed nd she accepted. He and his wife have ason anda aughter. An interesting side note is that where he foposed is approximately 1/2 mile way from where ley presently owna cottage.

Dean Collins is very pleased to be a part of the U.P.E.I. School of Business. He is very impressed with the high calibre of U.P.E.I. students in Account- ing, Marketing, Management, etc. All groups have very high standings in academic achievements when compared with their counterparts in North America. The U.P.E.I. School of Business is considered to have high academic and professional standards and as a result the graduates are recuited by major companies across Canada. Many graduates also attend graduate school in Business and Law. Dean Collins wishes to continue the high level of excellence in the School of Business through the cooperative efforts of all the faculty members and students.
