A proposal that the govern- ment assist in the revival of the Amherst Maritime Winter Fair is expected to be considered at this afternoon's meeting of the Executive Council. acting - pre- micr Andrew MacRae said this morning.

At a recent meeting in Am- herst between the ministers of agriculture of the Maritimes and executive of the fair, it was de- cided that the executive would forward a proposal to the min- isters, who would discuss it with their governments.

Mr. MacRae said that he had received a copy of the proposal and it will be discussed by cab- inet today.

Tuesday. Mr. MacRae will meet in Halifax with the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia min- isters. “We expect at that time to have an answer to the pro- posal,” Mr. MacRae said.
