The mine is typical oi modern mining methods employed in var- ious parts at the country. It is the New Kathleen which produces 5,- 000 tons oi coal a day.

The mine had experienced a rock fall in one room the day ‘oe- iore e. recent inspection by news- paper mep. But the pile at rocks and shale bore a heavy coating oi rock dust.
