An Act to amend the act for the due ob-

servance of the Lord’s Day. [Passed April 24, 1808.]

HEREAS the ﬁrst section of the twentieth George the Third, Chapter three, inti- tuled “An Act for the due observance of the Lord’s Day,” contains a provision permitting the sale of fresh ﬁsh before the hour of nine o’clockin the morning and after ﬁve o’clockin the afternoon,on the Lord’s Day, and it is deemed ex- pedient to repeal such provision. Be it there- fore enacted by the Lieutenant Governor, Council and Assembly as follows :—

I. From and after the passing of this Act, it shall not be lawful for any person or persons whomsoever, in this Island, to sell or vend ﬁsh of any kind or description at any hour on the Lord’s Day, and any person who shall so sell ﬁsh on the Lord’s Day shall be subject to the same penalty as is imposed by the second sec- tion of the said recited act for the offences therein mentioned, and the said penalty shall be recovered and applied as in the said sec- ond section mentioned and directed.

Y virtue of a Writ of Statute Execution to me di- rected, issued out of Her Majesty’s Supreme Court of Judicature, at the suit of Clementina Sobieska Beat- on, Executrix of the willof Donald Beaton. deceased, against Herman MCDOnald, I have taken and seized as the preperty of the said Herman McDonald, all his Right, Title, and Freehold Interest of the said Herman McDonald. in and to seventy acres of land, a little more or less, situate on the Gulfshore. Lot or Township number 45, and bounded on the west by Lot45 Road, on the south by land in the possession of the Heirs of Hugh McEeachern, deceased. and on the east by land in the possession of Donald McCormack. in King’s County; and I do hereby give Public Notice, that I will, on the 6th day of July, 1868. at the hour of 12 o’clock, noon, at the Court House in Georgetown, in the said County, set up and sell, at Public Auction, the said prOperty, or as much thereof as will satisfy the levy marked on the said writ, being for the Sum of £411 15s. 5d., with interest on i250, part thereof, from the 17th day of May last, until paid, and 16s. 8d. for said writ, besides Sheriff’s fees and incidental expenses.
