Jovurnatistic.—The Prohibitionists of Nova Scotia have completed arrangements for the publication of a new paper, the first number of which will be issued this week. It will be called the Canadian Voice, and published in Halifax.

Rev. A. H. McLeod, of Dover, Westmor- land County, N. B., will soon issue a little paper devoted to the cause of the Baptist church. The name of the new paper will be the Star.

Colonel Jones, of the second regiment of Alabama State troops, arrived this morning with five companies, and is confident of his ability to prevent any further attempt at mob violence.

A Geyser Breaks. Yankton, Dak., Dec. 9. A hot geyser has broken out in Charles- mex County, and is throwing hot mud over the surrounding prairie.
