spoons baking powder

1 cup sweet milk

Mix and put in greased pud-

Mix and pour over batter in dish. Bake in moderate oven for 30 minutes.

% cup dates or raisins. Put a syrup of 1 cup brown

sugar, 1% cups water and a small lump of butter in baking dish.

- Let come to a boil. Add batter

in spoonfulls. Bake 25 minutes.

HOT FUDGE PUDDING

1 cup sifted flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1:4: tsp. salt '

V4 cup sugar

2 tbsp. cocoa

it cup milk

2 tbsp, melted shortening

1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

V2 tsp. vanilla

Sift dry ingredients. Stir in milk and shortening. Mix until smooth. Add nuts and vanilla. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with 1 cup brown sugar mixed with 2 tbsp. cocoa.

Pour 1% cups hot water over entire batter and bake in a mo- derate oven 40 to 45 minutes.
