Typhoon Hits 'BIow At Japan
TOKYO (AP) ——- Typhoon Helen sped toward Siberia’s Kamchatka peninsula today after a deadly rush through Japan.
Japanese weather men here said Helen still was packing the strong winds, up to 90 m.p.h., that caused at least 26 deaths.
Helen was the worst Pacific storm to hit Japan this year. Be- sides the 26 deaths, 42 persons were reported missing and 108 were injured. Police said damage was estimated at more than $5.- 000,000. More than 25,000 persons were homeless.
