The Mt. Herbert Young People's Union held their Annual meeting at the Protestant orphanage Assembly Hall on Thursday even- lnz. Jan. 18. The devotional per- iod was conducted by David Mlutch. assisted by Jean Mutchu Following the scripture lesson. Rev. A. s. Weir led the group in prayer and the hymn. "O God our Help in Ages Peat" was sung. The group were Iortunnte to hear Mr. Phil Allen. who was then in the province. lecturing on his unusual experiences in Can- ada's North. Newfoundland and the cross Canada tour he has juat completed in a short informative talk. The hymn, "Abide with Me" closed this part or the programme. Rev. A. S. weir presided over the business and the minutes of last year's annual meeting were read and approved. Some corres- pondence was. read pertaining to the meaning of membership.
