Next, Winter, grim king Winter, with his frosts and snews, will blow his Arctic breath across our little Isle, freeze the Straits of Northumberland, and complete the isolation of P. E. Island:
Notwithstanding that your yards, barns, granneries cellars, green- houses and dairies are stocked, stuffed, filled, stored, crammed. crocked and firkined with the fat of the land, the fruits of the vine and products of your stock, you call this ** the winter of your discon- tent.” While you have plenty to eat and drink, your discontent- ment comes from ** wherewith are you to be clothed.’’ Come into!
