What's on at the Panther Lounge

Although this article will be written before the Blue Rodeo concerts, The Panther Lounge and the Student Union are more than overwhelmed at the response to this event. So in the near future we will do our best to bring top of the line performersto the Barn. Rumour also has it that attendance in Ab Ferris’s accounting classes is at an all time high (apparently Ab bought some tickets for Blue Rodeo and was giving them out to students who gave the right answers. Now that’s how to motivate!) A big thanks also goes out to Labatt and CFCY radio as their help was instrumental to the success of the event. The next couple of weeks should be called Giveaway Month at the Barn. Labatt are giving away fourteen hockey kit bags, Sante Fe and Coors Lite are giving away shorts, shirts, kitbags and even a neon sign (Fridays) while Bacardi are also giving away free glasses on Fridays.

This week’s movies (Jan 22) will be ‘*Boomerang”’ starring Eddie Murphy and “*Thunderheart’’ starring Val Kilmer and Canadian Graham Greene. Friday, Jan. 29 will be the marathon movie pub. We will be showing Lethal Weapon 1,2,and3. The

draught specials will be on right till the end of the third movie. Should be quite and afternoon!
