Recently the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that the mushrooms, more commonly known as "magic mushrooms," are nOw illegal in Canada. "It came about as the re- sult of an appeal by the Crown of the acquittal of a British Columbia man of trafficking in psilocvbin after he had sold a‘ouantity of mushrooms to under- cover RCMP officers in courtenay B.C." Magic mushrooms are found in British Colimhia, Quebec, and all four of the Atlantic Pravinces. Police across Canada welcome the new law however there are differ- ences among many provinces. In P.E.I., Sgt. Saulnier,

a member of the RCMP drug squad in Charlottetown, had this View; "This will give us some teeth. We will be enforcing it. . . Anyone caught with possession of the mushrooms will be charged. Restaurant That Lacked Taste .

THE MANAGER of a fast—food [restaurant has been given

the boot because his staff offered a little bit more

than the standard fare.

A 62 year—old customer at MacDonald's in Twicken—

ham, England, complained ' that she was served fries mixed with cigarette butts, fish garnished with pencil shavings and a mustard milk— shake.

The manager claimed that he didn't serve the woman,

but an industrial tribunal upheld the “right of the hamburger chain to fire

him because he should have known exactly what his

hired hands were dishing out.

Test Takers Excell In Morning.
