Hunter Duvar, who he is, the date of his appointment and the amount of his salary. Another piece of information he desires is whether a post office has been established at or near Paimer Road Chapel, as promised by the P. M.G. Ifso, when, and who is post- master.
Mr. Welsh has applied for a copy of the government engineer's report of surveys of the harbors of Pinette and Wood Islands, and also a copy of a report of survey of New London harbor and breakwater.
The Jesuits’ estates question will again be brought before the House by Colonel O’Brien, who has asked for copies of the reports of the Crown Law Officers on the biil, and all other correspondence relating thereto.

The irrepressible McMullen has the order paper littered with netices of motion, but he was badly sat on in the House yes- terday afternoon. To this Mr. Tayior (Government whip) offered an amendment that the return in- clude the amounts expended by each mem- ber ot Parliament for traveling expenses to and from Ottawa, and for board and lodg- ing while there, stating specitically the dis- position by each member of his sessional allowance. Also whether he traveiled on ‘a railway pass, etc. Mr. Taylor’s amend- ment brought down the House, and had the effect of Mr. Laurier requesting his faithful follower, McMullen, to withdraw his ‘motion, which he did with a very bad grace. The Rev. John Read, of the First Meth- vdist Church, Charlottetown, oceupied the pulpit of one of the Ottawa churches last Sunday, and also delivered a lecture during the week. Mr. W. Leslie Clay, Theologi- cal student of Montreal, and son of Deputy Sheriff Clay, of Summerside, has been preaching in Bank Street Church for séve- ral Sundays, during the illness of the regu- lar pastor, Rey. Dr. Moore. Mr. Clay has taken Ottawa by storm, and his sermons ate widely talked of. You know Rey. Mr. Herridge, of St. Andrew's, (son-in-law of Rev. Thcmas Dancan, formerly of Char- lottetown), is par excellene the pulpit orator of Ottawa. I have heard good judges give their opinion, and theysay Mr. Clay is after the Herridge mudel, and bids fair to equal him ere long.

At Blooming Point, Tracadie, on 20th of January, after about three months of intense suffering from gangrene in the foot, which he bore patiently, Mc. Ronald MeDoaaid, an old aud highly respected resideat of that piace, aged 57 years. The deceased was born at Scotchfort, where he resided for twenty-eight years, and removed to Tracadie in 183¥, where ihe resided until his death.
