Orrawa, May 10.—Mr. Blair, replying toMr. A. Martin, said yesterday that Mr. Gray was an agent onthe P. E. Island railway. Tenders had been called for. The highest tender was $484, but Gray was given a concession at $360—which was a higher price than his own tender.

Mr. Blair stated that the preliminery survey of the Belfast and Murray Harbor railway was half done and that the work would be proceeded with. Tenders would probably be asked for when the time came for construction.
