Charlottetown Lions Consider Boys' Club
Ernest Cotton of Moncton, ., a supervisor for the Boys’ Clubs of Canada in the Maritime Provinces, was the guest speaker at the regular dinner meeting of the Char~ lottetown Lions Club at th Charlottetown Hotel last nigh.

speak to their group on the aims and objects and organiz- ational aspects of such an or- ganization.
Speaking of the high values that the formation of boys’ clubs have brought to commun-

continent, Mr. Cotton pointed out that the first step- is to as- certain, through proper sur- vey. if there is a need for a boy’s club.

He pointed out that one of the
attractive features of such a club. is that the individual boy feels that it is “his club and reminded his listeners of that nostalgic feeling that most of them had for the treehouse or shack in the neighborhood back- yard in their early youth. “It is not a club for delinquents" he stated, “it is for all boys who wish to joint it, but where these clubs have developed. do linquency has dropped sharply.
