TOKYO (APT _- Fire swept through an industrial area in southern Tokyo Tuesday night. touching oft blasts from explo- elves and gasoline. Police said eight persons were 14. missing and 45 injured. 3

The fire. at Shin v awa. razed 1 10 warehmrses containing ex-; plosives. One gasoline tank 1 went up in ﬂames.

The fire was extinguished at- 1 ter a three-hour fight. ,

Police are investigating the‘ cause.

UK. Minister Has Criticism ‘ Of Washington

LONDON lReuterSI —- Trans- port. Minister Ernest Marples Wednesday night attacked the US. Federal maritime commis- sion for “acting as if the United States has the rizht to regulate the affairs of the world as a whole."

He asked the House of Com- mons to agree to a bill to com- hat the commission‘s demands that British shippers cancel contracts because they infrinzed US. anti-trust laws.
