On Friday night s party tor the High School studmte was held at the Armourles in Montague. The students immensely enjoyed them- selves at games and other forms of entertainment. During the evening a delicious lunch was served by the young ladies. It is hoped that these parties .may become s. regular feat.- ure on Friday so ‘as to provide en- tertainment for the young students.

Duck hunters in this locality have been having s real tine for themselves this year since the num- ber of ducks seems to be quite good. Panmure Island ls aboundlng with coats‘ and oockawees. although the number of black duck and teal is negligible. Morning and evening find many hunters in blinds ready for the flight of ducks. Poverty Beach ts showing up well this year. as also several points in the vicin- ity of Flat River. Black duck and teal are quite numerous in these localities. and hunters nave been successful in taking quite a num- iber. Plsquid Pond and Fortune are showing up well with quite large flocks moving in the morning and evening. Several hunters have been successful in bringing heme one or two ducks each day, and some lucky ones were fortunate enough to get the limit on one or two occasions. some geese have been seen and it is reported that they are ﬂying in quantity in the northern section. One or two hunters have brought down the lone Q0060. lmtl no large bags have been taken. This year has, for the general hunter. proved quite good. and it is hoped it will continue so until the end 0t the season.
