"You don't find a lot o! food. not such a lot as one as big as me must have, lying around in one place. There may be enough for a meal or two, but not enough fcr one to stay long in one place," ex- plained Buster.

"I hadn't thought of that." ad- mitted Paddy. "I supose it docs take a lot of food to keep yoi tilled up."

"I don't keep filled up. it is only now and then that I get enough, all I can oat at one time. I sometimes do when berries are ripe, and at this time of the ygar when there are plenty o! beechnuts and acorns on the ground. Some- times when I Iind a lot of honey in a hollow tree. But there are never enough oi those things in one place to last for more than a. meal or two. Then I must go look for an- ,other place. Most of the time I lean ﬁnd only a little here and a bits or two there. so I have to d: s lot of wandering about just to get enough to eat, I would starve to death if I had to_live in one place the way you folks do." ex- plained Buster. Then he added, "But I would hate to be tied down the way you are and never_get around. If I move about enough I can always find something to eat. I'm not fussy about my fool. you know.
