A Patxrun Accipent.—The Agricultur- ist reports that Mr. David Kirk, of the Mechanic’s Manufacturing Company, Snm- merside, met with quite a serious accident on Thursday. He and others were et work t ghtening the stays of the sn oxe stack, when the fall of the tackle gave way, and Mr. Kirk fell against a beam, breaking two of his ribs.
First Sartinc.—The schooners Jennie Armstrong, Grady, with a cargo of hay, oats and potatoes,acd Merry May, McKay, with bay and turnips, sailed on Thursday morning for Miramichi ports. The schr. Tue Campaxa.—The splendid steamship Campana made her first trip to this port on Saturday, arriving about six o’clock. She left on return to Montreal via Sum- merside about eleven o’clock yesterday forenoon. The many friends of Captain Baquet will hear with regret that he is not in command this season, he having been granted twelve months’ leave of absence ou account of ill health. His place as commander is taken by Captain Demers, who comes highly recommended.
