Editorial «

By now, you must all be aware of our Student Union's plans for next week's massive march on the Provincial Building. The march is scheduled in protest of proposed cutbacks in funding for post-secondary education by the federal ’ government. The Union should be unattended for stid<ing out its neck and goading the student body at UPEI into some form of action.

. Yet all this activity is somewhat puzzling, partly because the student of the '80's is notorious for his supposed apathy. Mostly, however, one is intrigued by the interest in the E.P.F. since the Union made it perfectly clear last year that their policy was not to make political stands. If that policy bothers you, bear in mind that the Student Union is, at least if not on paper then in reality, subject to the whims and fancies of the‘nbre permanent powers—
